We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies, sell personal information, or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We use only the session and browser storage needed to secure accounts, remember choices, and deliver cached public content.
Who this notice covers
This notice applies when you visit globalinfinity.ai or globalinfinity.hk, create or use an account, publish or comment, sign in through an available identity provider, or send feedback. Global Infinity is responsible for the processing described here. External sites and identity providers apply their own privacy notices.
Information we handle
- Account details such as email address, display name, password hash, provider identifier and profile image where supplied.
- Content and communications you choose to submit, including Skills, comments, source links and feedback.
- Security and technical data such as session identifiers, timestamps, request metadata, rate-limit records and hashed network or browser signals.
- Language choice, content-cache data and your acknowledgement of the cookie notice stored in your browser.
Please do not submit passwords, secret keys, identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Purposes and legal bases
We use data to provide requested services and accounts, protect the site from fraud and abuse, moderate public content, answer messages, maintain records, comply with legal duties and improve reliability. Depending on the context, processing is necessary to perform our agreement with you, meet a legal obligation, or pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the service. Where law requires consent for a future optional technology, we will request it before activation.
Cookies and local storage
The secure gi_admin session cookie supports login, CSRF protection and account security. It is HttpOnly, Secure on HTTPS, SameSite=Lax, and expires with the session or the applicable idle/absolute limit. Browser local storage remembers language, versioned public-content caches, and the value gi-cookie-consent-v1 recording that this notice was acknowledged.
These technologies are necessary for the features described and are not used for advertising or analytics. You can clear them in browser settings, but doing so may sign you out, reset language or cache choices, and show the notice again.
When information is shared
Public posts are visible to other visitors. We may use infrastructure and identity providers to host the service or complete a sign-in you request, subject to appropriate contractual and security controls. We may disclose limited information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a legitimate organizational transaction. We do not sell personal information.
International access
The service is hosted in Singapore and may be accessed internationally. Where personal data moves from a jurisdiction that requires transfer safeguards, we use legally recognized mechanisms and proportionate technical and organizational protections as applicable.
How long information is kept
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including account operation, security, moderation, disputes, legal requirements and backups. Session and rate-limit data are short-lived by design. Public content may remain until removed or no longer needed; backup copies may persist for a limited recovery cycle.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a portable copy of personal data, and may appeal or complain to a competent regulator. California residents may also request disclosure or deletion and non-discriminatory treatment; because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, there is currently no sale/share opt-out to operate.
Submit a Privacy request through Feedback and identify the relevant account or page. We may verify your request and retain limited information where an exception applies. Authorized agents may act where local law permits and their authority can be verified.
Security
We use encrypted transport, restricted sessions, access controls, request validation, rate limits, sanitization, monitoring and backups. No internet system is completely secure, so protect your credentials and report suspected compromise promptly.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Users who are minors where they live should use account features only with appropriate guardian consent. Contact us if you believe a child supplied information unlawfully.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our service, technologies or legal obligations change. We will revise the effective date and provide proportionate notice of material changes. Optional cookies will not be enabled merely because this notice changes.
