Z.ai / current
Z.ai's current open GLM generation, extending the family's coding and agent strengths.
Keeps GLM's turn-level thinking control while widening the context window and improving multilingual coding behaviour. GLM-5.3 moves the open GLM line forward with a 1M-token context, retaining interleaved and turn-level thinking while targeting agentic coding and multilingual reasoning.
Configure the GLM tool parser and supported reasoning parser. Preserve thinking explicitly for long coding runs, disable it for lightweight turns, and validate terminal permissions independently of model quality.
Preserved thinking depends on client support; an incompatible template removes most of the benefit. Serving examples require GLM-specific tool and reasoning parsers; generic templates degrade preserved-thinking behaviour.
